About Me
I am a former senior operations executive for a global private equity firm that specialized in commercial real estate. I decided to make a switch to residential real estate where I think all the skills I honed in my corporate life can really benefit my friends, my neighbors and all the clients I have yet to meet.
I started this blog because that’s what you are supposed to do to create an web presence! But then I discovered how much I enjoy sharing the Chicago experience via this media and how much other people seem to appreciate and enjoy it as well. There is such an overwhelming amount of information–about everything–available, sometimes its nice to have someone else distill it and serve it up in a nice friendly blog post, even if it does come with a side of opinion!
I am a member of the East Village Community Association, the West Town Chamber of Commerce, PWCC (Professional Women’s Club of Chicago), I am on the board of the Garfield Park Conservatory and am a founding member of SWWAN (Single Working Women’s Affiliate Network). I am also the deliriously happy and proud mother of a 2 yr old, Sophia. We have a wonderful English Mastiff that we rescued named Rocky. You will see these interests reflected in my posts because they are some of the things that really matter to me.
I have found that this is a great tool to reach out to new people and make connections I wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to make so I welcome and encourage everyone to comment or reach out to me. As always, you can check out my website at perrineknight.com and reach me there as well.

I’ve enjoyed your blog. Per you blog and bio, I wanted to share an app I recently launched for Chicago. It’s a Festival Finder for Chicago area. It provides all the details (times, locations, bands, etc.) for over 80 Street/Music/Art festivals this summer. It’s available for both the iPhone and Android platform. Here’s a link to the app http://bit.ly/FestBlog . I thought you might wan to check it out and pass it along to your followers if you think its any good.
A little info about me. I’ve lived in Chicago for over 8 years and love the festival season and decided to create this on my own since I was always forgetting when each festival was going on which weekend. With that said, I’m just trying to get the word out as much as possible. Any feedback is definitely welcome. Have a great week and summer!
Thanks, Sean
